Chicago bar opens up a Moe’s Tavern pop-up pub in time for Halloween

For Chicagoans craving a Duff Beer mid-way through a Simpsons: Treehouse of Horror binge-session, a local pop-up bar might be able to help.

This Halloween, Chicago bar Replay Lincoln Park has transformed into Moe’s Tavern from The Simpsons, one of television’s most iconic bars.

The Chicago Tribune reports that the bar’s temporary redesign highlights Moe’s best elements– including a compilation of news clips from Channel 6’s Kent Brockman shown on tube television sets, Simpsons-themed drinks like the “Flaming Moe” and “Frozen Squishee” and even Duff Beer koozies.

Replay’s even decorated its walls with art inspired by the show, and propped up cardboard standees of Moe Szyslak, the bar’s titular owner.

Per the Chicago Tribune, the bar also offers its customers the chance to play Simpsonspinball and arcade games free of charge, and to take photos with Duff’s mascot, the Duffman.

The bar will also hold a Simpsons-themed trivia night for super fans on Wednesday that will include questions pertaining to only the first eleven seasons of the show.

According to the bar’s Facebook event, the Moe’s Tavern pop-up will run through Oct. 31, and opens at 5 p.m. from Monday through Thursday, at 3 p.m. on Friday, and at noon on Saturday and Sunday.
