Pauly Shore Impersonates Stephen Miller in Funny or Die Viral Clip

The comedian sports a bald head and short temper in the clip as he spars with CNN’s Jim Acosta over immigration issues.

Hey, bu-ddy!

Pauly Shore stepped into the role of White House senior policy advisor Stephen Miller for a recent Funny or Die short poking fun at the recent heated exchange between Miller and CNN’s Jim Acosta following a press briefing discussing immigration.

Intercutting footage of Shore, whose signature curly locks were replaced by the horseshoe balding pate of Miller, with actual footage of Acosta’s questions, the video shows the debate over the poem on the base of the Statue of Liberty.

“The poem you’re referring to,” Shore said from behind a mockup of the White House press podium, “isn’t actually part of the orignal Statue of Liberty, it was added later. And the whole reason why we put the Statue of Liberty here was to show the rest of the world, here in America, we’ve got some beautifiul babes.”

Shore then launched into a “history” lesson on the Statue of Liberty for Acosta. “In the year 2000, did you know a mutant known as Wolverine scaled the Statue of Liberty in a climactic showdown with Sabertooth?” Shore asked, referencing Hugh Jackman’s role in the original X-Men film.

That was not the only film reference Shore made, however. “In the fucking 1980s,” he continued, “when the Ghostbusters brought the Lady Liberty to life with the power of ectoplasm, was that violating, in your opinion, Jim Acosta, the Statue of Liberty’s law of the land?”

He then went on to recount events from 2008’s monster movie Cloverfield and a magic trick done by David Copperfield. “Look at me directly in my forehead and tell me I’m not lying,” Shore said.

In the end, Shore assured the press pool it was all just part of Miller’s “bromance” wth Acosta. “Nothing to write home about,” Shore said, before tossing to a clip from the opening of 1992’s Home Alone 2 in which Lady Liberty imitates star Macaulay Culkin’s famous face-slap and scream.
